Split Sun Arts, is an informal community collaboration project between two potters, Brooke Waldron and Meg Riley. This casual partnership is addressing gaps in arts accessibility, a developing project to provide creativity, exploration and collaboration. 

Split Sun Arts is an extension of our own art practice with the intention of hosting clay and creative workshops for the community. Sessions will be hosted at various locations and will always include all materials and equipment for participants.

Ceramic Herb Planter

Saturday April 20th 10:30-1pm. 

Location: Stepping Stone Ranch, West Greenwich RI 02832

Cost: $90

Join us at Stepping Stone Ranch for a few hours of creativity and relaxation. In this workshop, you'll be provided with everything you need to design your very own ceramic stoneware herb planter.  Two experienced potters (Meg and Brooke) will guide you through the process.

You will receive a ready-made wheel thrown pot, we will teach you various techniques for carving and decorating pottery by hand. All tools are included, no extra purchases are necessary. When you're done, we will finish the firing process, and participants will be provided a pick-up date when your piece is ready!


You will also receive a young Rosemary and Mint seedling as a gift for your new planter. If you're looking to try something new, this workshop is perfect for anyone who loves plants and crafts. ------Note: Ages 15+ Rain or Shine. This session is hosted at the spacious Stepping Stone Ranch, a fully functioning horse farm. The farm atmosphere includes barn cats, insects, and other clients operating under the business. We ask you to please be respectful and remain with the workshop during your visit. If this environment is problematic for you, please wait for another opportunity to join us. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.

Cost may include merchant fees. We appreciate your support, your contribution is directly benefiting the longevity of community centered arts and the art you are creating.
