Vase is carved with traditional northeast basket design, and features a blue jay carved and painted on each side. I created two stain colors, the top of the vase is coated in midnight navy and fades into a dark teal green to the bottom of the vessel. This is handbuilt, so it is organic in shape, non symetrical, and partially coil built. 
 
This vase was created for exhibition, but due to a imperfection fault during creation, I've decided to offer for sale. For decorative use, measures approx 10" wide x 9" height. This vase includes a handmade spalted maple stand for stability. Without the supportive stand, the vase will tilt back slightly, for safety, it should be displayed with the stand.
